My first time as a Wise Wedding Venue Wedding Photographer and what an experience. It’s a venue quite unlike any other that we’ve ever shot at before hidden away in some woodland in Paddock Wood, in the heart of Kent not too far from where Hannah and I live. In fact, we must have driven past it a hundred times over the years and never even realised that it’s there.
Jake & Kirsty chose to do things their way. They were legally married in Tunbridge Wells early in the morning (dressed in their onesies no less) before getting their gladrags on and holding a much more personal, intimate humanist wedding ceremony in the woods at Wise Wedding Venue. The ceremony was conducted by Jakes grandfather, dressed as Robin Hood because, well just because really, I never did get to the bottom of that one! With their loved ones gathering around them in a tight arc they said their vows and made heartfelt promises to one another.
The rest of the unfolded much like any other. There were circus performers, hula hoopers, fire breathers and portraits taken on sofas suspended by tree branches. Ok, maybe it wasn’t quite like every other wedding after all!
Truly unique and original, these guys are wonderful, kind hearted people with enormous love for one another and their friends and Wise Wedding Venue was the perfect setting for their celebration.
