I’m sure we’ve said it before, but we swear they put something in the water at The Bell In Ticehurst. We’ve shot weddings here a big handful of times now and each and every single one of them provides the emotional highlight of our year every time without fail. Last year it was Liz & Andy where the tears flowed like wine (Sorry Andy!) and this year Leanne & Chris. Their Wedding At The Bell In Ticehurst will go down as one of my favourite weddings of 2016 in a year jam packed full of emotional highs.
Whats to be said that hasn’t already been said before about The Bell? It’s quirky, it’s slightly alternative but without being too painfully cool that you feel uncomfortable. It’s an old, warm, cosy pub with food to die for, staff that make you laugh all day and a relaxed atmosphere that is completely unrivalled in this part of the South East. As a wedding venue, particularly come Autumn/Winter time it’s truly hard to beat.
My favourite thing about The Bell In Ticehurst though is because of all those attributes above it attracts couples who are perfect for us, every time. Couples who value their friendships with their friends and family, who aren’t necessarily wanting a huge and fancy affair. They’re typically head over heels in love and simply wanting to celebrate with their loved ones, to eat comforting food and to dance hard until the glass in the windows starts to vibrate and quiver.
