Today on the blog are Megan and James and their Wedding At The Oyster Shed in London. Being honest this wedding just feels like yesterday, I can’t believe it was over a month ago. The Oyster Shed is an amazing venue for a wedding sat right on the river bank directly in front of The Shard, it has probably one of the very best views in all of London.
We absolutely fell in love with Megan & James earlier this summer meeting them for their pre wedding shoot. I’ve said it a hundred times but my favourite people in the world are those that are happy to be happy. To look on the bright side and to wear their hearts on their sleeves. These two people epitomise those sentiments completely and as an added bonus have truly brilliant friends and family around them as well.
Beginning the day at The Hilton in Islington where everyone got ready together, bustling in and out of rooms, laughing and joking before hitching a ride on an old red Routemaster we were treated to all of the best things that a London Wedding can offer. Megan & James sing for their local church choir so as a surprise to their guests had their friends in the choir sing them out, whilst they themselves sang all the way up the aisle and into a tornado of confetti.
As always Im reluctant to say much more and just let their story play out for itself in the pictures below. One thing I will say though is the highlight of the day for me was Megans parents bringing her childhood security blanket all the way from Chicago and surprising her with it in the speeches. Completely heartwarming and absolutely hilarious.
