What a terrific way to begin the year and blow away the cobwebs. A cold, bright, sunny day in February for Claire and Dan’s Wedding At Gaynes Park and the clearest evening skies I’ve ever seen with the twinkling lights of the city far far away.Bear-bowtie

It genuinely feels like forever since I last shot a wedding, so much has happened since then. With Georges arrival, Christmas and the whirlwind that has been trying to learn how to be a Dad, taking photos with my camera (I’ve taken a ton on my iPhone of George!) has been far from my mind.

So to get such a gorgeous day in such a great venue like Gaynes Park was an absolute treat. Sometimes winter weddings are wet and windy and other times they can surprise you with the most gorgeous golden light.

I also got to hang out and shoot alongside my good friend Jon Mold – all the Groom preparation shots are his – which was great fun shooting alongside someone as enormously talented as him.

These guys are off on their honeymoon now so these are just a very short preview of frames that I have delivered to them as they head off. I’ve decided this year I’m going to blog a lot, but in little chunks, so check back regularly to see what we’ve been up to!

To Claire & Dan, thanks so much for having Jon and I there, we had an absolute blast!
