The wedding season is ticking over really nicely, we’ve met and photographed some wonderful people in some wonderful venues so far and been treated incredibly kindly. Before I start to blog all of the couples that we’ve photographed already this year I wanted to just share a few more Pre Wedding Shoots that we’ve done including Sophie & James on a very very wet day in Whitstable earlier this week. As a Kent Wedding Photographer we’ve shot a few weddings in and around Whitstable and it’s always such a fantastic place to photograph as there is so much variation in such a small area. From the coloured beach huts to the crashing waves and shingle beach there’s an interesting photo to be taken around every corner.
So inevitably it rained. In fact it poured down. We were all soaked to the bone. I’m loathe to cancel and rearrange shoots because of a little rain, I’m always of the mindset that if it rains on your wedding day – and let’s face it, it might, we live in the UK after all – then it’s my job to still deliver beautiful intimate photos of you at your happiest. A large part of being able to deliver these photos relies on the couple being care free and embracing the elements and I couldn’t have asked for any more of Sophie & James.
Despite every effort to make sure her hair was perfect within a few minutes the rain had covered us and the wind had ripped through us all. Instead of grumbling, Sophie just went with it and her and James snuggled up close protecting each other from the elements and it couldn’t have worked out any better.
They get married in just a few short weeks time and I’m sure the sun will be blazing for them then. For now, here’s a little look at what we got up to in the rain…
