“Wow Michael we both literally cannot believe it!! The photos are just BLOODY INSANE!! You captured just literally everything and it felt like the whole day came alive for us again. We were both so nervous about the whole photo situation but you and Hannah were just amazing so thank you thank you and thank you!!”
It’s been a little while since I’ve shot a wedding at the beautiful Pembroke Lodge but as soon as I arrived I remembered why we love it so much. Nestled right in the middle of Richmond Park with roaming Deer on one side and a view towards the city on the other its a rare country venue in the middle of one of the busiest cities on earth.
Sarah & Matt are pretty much the perfect clients for us. Very relaxed, happy to go with the flow, heart on their sleeves emotional people who are happy to be happy and finally, they’re people that love to let their hair down and throw a crazy party.
Their wedding day was a day packed with little highlights for us. Their nice was adorable, covering herself with make up before the ceremony and (nearly) stealing the show all day. The nerves and anticipation overcoming Matt moments before Sarah walked down the aisle and they’re beaming smiles and “can’t keep our hands off one another” affection all afternoon was just the best.
We also got to shoot their wedding at Pembroke Lodge at probably the very best time of year with the flowering wisteria providing a sensationally colourful backdrop for their portraits. Finally, we got to hangout with our buddies Laura & Pete from Lawson Films who were just a joy to shoot alongside and we couldn’t recommend more.
As Laura herself said that morning when we arrived at Sarahs: “all I really want from my weddings are couples who are happy to belly laugh openly and cry in my face with emotion”. That pretty much sums up Sarah & Matts wedding. It was perfect. Thank you so much for making us so welcome and for giving us the freedom to do what we do, you’re the best.
