Jackson & Co Photography | Newburgh Priory Wedding Photography
On a cold March day I had the pleasure of being Mel & Ken’s Newburgh Priory Wedding Photographer and what an amazing day it turned out to be. Absolutely amazing. I was joined by my good mate Adam for the day and we had an absolute blast with these guys from start to finish. Newburgh Priory is settled high up amongst the North York Moors and really is a hidden gem. Driving through the rain on my way over the moors I had no idea of the level of sunshine that was waiting for me.
Mel & Ken were married at the local church before heading back to Newburgh Priory for some pretty scrumptious looking – and tasting – canapés and some fizz. During the course of the rest afternoon I was treated to seeing a number of guests have a crack at sinking a Yard Of Ale, some really beautiful heartfelt speeches and some very very slick dance moves.
The most important thing for any wedding is emotion, loads of it, and from the moment I arrived that morning I was greeted to a cacophony of laughter and a room full of smiles that just never dimmed all day. From the first shot to the last shot everywhere I turned there were fantastic beaming smiles to be photographed, tears of happiness and of tenderness. Ah, I’m waffling on here. It was awesome. That kind of sums it up right?
The story of their day is below, soak it up, it was a belter! Here’s to the rest of 2016 being just as much as fun as this way…
“I cannot begin to explain how wonderful our pictures are. I sat and cried for a full 40 minutes during the slideshow. They are so much better than I could ever have imagined. We cannot thank you enough”
