Jackson & Co Photography | North Cadbury Court Wedding
Christmas weddings are just great. Our very first time shooting a North Cadbury Court Wedding (although we will be returning this summer time!) and what an amazing experience. North Cadbury Court is one of the most beautiful venues we’ve ever worked in with fantastic light throughout the venue and wonderful grounds. Combine all that with the fact that it was Christmas – my favourite time of year – and it was just a perfect way to begin to feel all festive.
From the moment we arrived that morning both Mariam and Seymour couldn’t have been more laid back and just let us do our thing and document their day without interruption, they were just a dream to work with.
Shooting weddings in winter time can be full of challenges and with a late wedding ceremony you’re obviously limited to the daylight hours available. One of the biggest bonuses is that when that winter sun does set, boom, it sets gloriously. Freezing cold but with that sun slowly sinking down we got a few minutes to wander the grounds making a few portraits of the two of them snuggling up to one another along the way.
Seymours family are Serbian so we got the opportunity to photograph a traditional Serbian Sword Dance performed by one his best friends which was phenomenal. I didn’t follow exactly what was going on but I’m pretty certain that it now means Seymour will be performing the same dance at his friends wedding!
We can’t wait for the summer to kick in so we get to photograph another North Cadbury Court Wedding!
