Steel yourself. Get some tissues. Maybe get a brandy. Ready? Right well here we go then. Some weddings have it all and Liz & Andy’s Wedding At The Bell In Ticehurst was one of them. I couldn’t love this wedding any more if I tried. Two wonderful people who are happy to be happy, to wear their hearts on their sleeves, to laugh at themselves and to let loose without a care in the world. A venue that is probably my favourite of anywhere ever with character and soul. Suppliers that are supremely talented at what they do like Katherine at Florist In The Forest making sure that this amazing venue looks at its best.
I’ve shot weddings at The Bell In Ticehurst a few times now and purely by fluke my very next wedding is here again next and I just can’t get enough of the place. Especially in Autumn and Winter, it’s warm and cozy with the smells from the kitchen and the amazing chefs wafting out of open windows in the cold air. If I wasn’t shooting a wedding here yesterday it would’ve been hard to shift me anyway I think. There’s very few places I’d rather be than by the fire with a pint of ale and some of their home made pork scratchings. I know, I know, simple things make me happy.
I’m not going to say much more, the pictures below tell their story far better than I could. I’ll tell you a bit more about one frame though. Liz’s Dad walked in and saw her for the first time and absolutely crumbled, floods of tears from both him and everyone else in the room, it was a hugely emotional moment. He hugged Liz tight and they had a gorgeous moment together as father and daughter. She looked him in the eye and said “Are you alright Dad?”. Completely straight faced and with a deadpan delivery he replied ” I’m fine, I’m fine….I just thought you’d look better!”. Cue hysterical laughter from everyone. It was that kind of day all over.
