At this time of year things tend to run away with you a little so I’m playing catch up this morning and brining Laura and James’s gorgeous wedding at Kingscote Barn to the blog.
Before heading over to Kingscote Barn Laura and James held one of the most fun church ceremonies I’ve ever been involved with. Not only did the lovely Vicar host one of the more humorous celebrations involving analogies of life and marriage involving a bag of Haribo but the entire wedding congregation then stayed behind to drink tea and eat plates and plates of homemade cakes in the church for an hour or so afterwards.
The rest of the afternoon was an explosion of smiles and colour from the big red routemaster bus packed with brightly coloured balloons and bunting, incredible homemade wedding cakes and more jaw dropping flowers than I think I’ve ever seen, to floral patterned bridesmaids dresses with alternating coloured shoes. Those shoes incidentally were rumour has it the most uncomfortable things in the world and they all took great delight in launching them into the air during the afternoon.
Having a wedding at Kingscote Barn is gorgeous. The fields dip and roll all around, and when the sun sank down we went for a short stroll and made some gorgeous pictures of the two of them in the evening light.
Here’s a little preview of their wedding day. Congratulations Laura & James!
