Now the plan had been not to blog anything else for a while, but to wait until the Winter kicked in and stagger our posts out throughout the cold months. And then we were blessed with one more summer wedding, it just happened to be in November that’s all. Katie & Tom held their East Quay Lobster Shack Whitstable Wedding yesterday and you could be forgiven for thinking that it had taken place in July.
We had blistering sunshine, 24degrees, a chorus of I Wanna Hold Your Hand by The Beatles during the wedding ceremony, Oysters served on the beach and wedding guests grooving and grinding along to a Reggae band late into the night whilst people took to the decks.
Now and again you stumble across a venue right on your doorstep like we did a few weeks ago with The Bell At Ticehurst and can’t quite believe that you’ve never been here before. The East Quay Lobster Shack in Whitstable is an absolute hidden gem. Sat right on the pebbled beach looking out to sea with Oyster shells piled high all around it and the stripes and colours of the local residents beach huts just metres away it’s a gorgeous venue quite unlike anywhere else we’ve photographed in Kent before.
Katie and Tom were amazing. Blissfully laid back, calm and chilled out from Tom quietly getting ready alone in the morning to when we hugged our goodbyes to Katie on a heaving dancefloor later that evening, they were both superb.
As the rain lashes down outside here’s a little taste of their day for you to remind yourself of a beautiful sunny day at the seaside…
