Emotion, Energy and a big splash of colour. Thats the recipe for a great wedding I think. Hannah & Adam had it by the bucketload for their Elmley Nature Reserve Wedding!
I arrived super early, eager to explore this hidden paradise that is Elmley Nature Reserve and got there in time to see hard working Ushers and friends tying ribbons and poking little wooden hearts in the ground putting the finishing touches together. Every tiny element of detail had been thought about and painstakingly prepared by Hannah & Adam along with some final flourishes by the every wonderful Gwenda at Bohotanicals. But, all of that is worth nothing if there’s no energy or love in the room….
Fortunately, as soon as I walked in to meet Hannah and could see her smiling away surrounded by her hilarious bridesmaids I knew that wasn’t going to be an issue. So much laughter, so many jokes, it was hard to keep up it was just amazing.
Then it all just kind of happened like a bolt of lightening. One minute I was watching a tearful Adam waiting for Hannah to arrive at the foot of the aisle, the next I was jostling for position as the crowd went bezerk on the dancefloor, the day just flew by!
There were tears of joy, there was crazy fist pumping, jumping in the air dancing, there was a little kid throwing moves on the dance floor that put everyone to shame.
It was a day to measure all the other wedding days against and at a venue that immediately stole a place in my heart as one of the coolest venues I’ve ever had the pleasure to shoot at and I had no idea it was even there until recently, it really is a hidden gem. Georgina, Eleanor & the team there are superb.
Here’s a big handful of favourites from Hannah & Adams big day….
