I’m on a blogging rollercoaster now that the peak summer season is quietening down. It’s so lovely to look back over our favourite weddings from recent memory. Some how, and I’m not sure how, we didn’t get around to blogging Grace & Guys sensational wedding in the back garden (this feels like under selling it a touch) of Grace’s parents house in Tunbridge Wells last year. It’s a bit of a crime as it was one of our standout highlights of the year and a complete riot from start to finish.
I have to admit that it was a recent enquiry that brought this wedding back into my mind. The client asked if I still shoot church weddings as there was nothing on the blog for a long long time. I replied yes of course, I shoot loads of them all throughout the year which is true. Then I thought, why the heck haven’t I blogged a church wedding in a while? I’ve no idea. But then I remembered the Vicar from Grace & Guy’s wedding and that he was a rare gem, an absolute hoot, a real character that had everyone smiling and it brought it all back to me and I had to dig these photos out straight away.
One of the best things about being a Tunbridge Wells Wedding Photographer is the enormous variety of weddings that we get to shoot. From beautiful venues, incredibly styled to more rustic days with personal touches in marquees and Tipis on farmland we get to shoot so many different things it’s just ace. But I don’t think we’ve ever felt like we were both in someones home AND at a beautiful luxury wedding venue all in one before. Real take your breath away stuff around every corner and a welcome as warm as a summer evening.
Although this was over a year ago looking at these photos instantly takes me back to what was an incredible day. Booming laughter seemed to echo around the reception that afternoon and the party was staggering, jaw dropping, epic, I could go on and on. I’ve never seen lighting quite like it and the crowd were in the palm of the bands hand from the moment they struck the first chord on the guitar.
So here it is, a big jumble of favourites from one of favourite days of the year. Grace & Guy are off having adventures right now somewhere in the world, wherever you are, thank you for making us a part of your day, you rock!
