Getting married abroad is massively exciting. Whether you have plans to be strolling hand in hand along the shores of Ibiza or a romantic wedding in the vineyards of Tuscany you have so much scope for incredible photographs. More and more couples are now going abroad to get married due to the huge choice in venues and being a little more able to do things exactly how they want it, with no compromises at all.

Earlier this year Stuart & Sarah looked out at the mountains towering over Lake Garda laughing and giggling at how perfect their day was turning out. Just them, their immediate family and one rather happy photographer!

I’m a little biased but photography is up there with the most important aspects of your wedding day, those photographs are going to be cherished forever and ever by generations to come and it’s well worth investing in. If you’re getting married abroad and having a Destination Wedding then nothing changes, if anything they’re even more important! Plan the day exactly how you want it, hire a good wedding planner at the other end and take everyone you love with you and have the day of your lives.

You can see more of Stuart & Sarah’s wedding day but here are a few very kind words that they had to say…

“We are really happy we picked Michael for our wedding in Lake Garda. The previous wedding he shot in the castle in Malcesine made us dream of what ours would be like.

Right from the start when we first met him we knew he was perfect for the job. He made us feel very comfortable in front of a camera when we usually are not. On the big day Michael was a lot of fun to have a long, but he also blended into the background for some of our special moments.

The final batch of photos are amazing, everyone we have shown have been astonished and we think Michael has really captured our big day in this very special place in Italy, thank you so much Michael”

Next year will see me travel back and forth to Italy and Croatia a couple of times. I do my best to keep it as simple as possible so there are no over inflated costs, it’s simply the cost of the wedding plus a return flight and somewhere to lay my head for two nights. Plus, maybe a pizza and a beer but that’s it! If you’re planning a wedding abroad then I would love to hear from you.
