So tonight Im bringing you 25 frames from yesterdays absolutely gorgeous black tie wedding at Eastington Park for Kirsty and George. My very first visit, my first time as an Eastington Park Wedding Photographer and what a phenomenal way to start. Eastington Park is a stunning 18th century country house nestled in the Gloucestershire countryside. With an impressive spiral staircase inside and incredible ballrooms its a fantastic setting for a country wedding.
Wedding days are better when things don’t go quite to plan. Im not advocating things going wrong on a couples wedding day here, just that the unexpected can make things even more memorable. Spontaneity is an under rated thing on wedding days. In this case, even though the gorgeous ballroom was set up, decked out with gorgeous flowers and chairs, George made the executive decision that come rain or shine, they were going to be married outside. Ushers, guests and staff all sprinted down to the lawns with chairs held aloft. And it paid off. Massively.
The rain held off for just long enough for them to say their vows and for the readings to take place, and then the heavens opened and back up the lawn we all dashed, ducking under umbrellas. It’s moments like these that are such fun to photograph but also are what weddings are made of and become a concrete, fond memory for years to come.
No sooner had the rain lashed down, the sooner it went leaving us with the most perfect Autumn afternoon light for a handful of portraits. Rounded out by a spectacular fireworks display later that evening it was very much the perfect day.
So here’s a few preview frames from yesterday for you this Sunday night, I hope you love them. To Kirsty & George, thanks so much for having me yesterday, I had a blast and you were an absolute dream to photograph. x
