Sometimes it can be really difficult trying to put into words what happened at a wedding or a pre wed shoot for your blog. Other times it’s a complete doddle. Dermot and Peter contacted me late one night back in February (Valentines Day if I remember rightly, ahhhh) as Hannah and I were on the train home from London. As soon as we read through their enquiry about me being their Civil Partnership photographer both us burst out into a broad grin and replied straight away.

That seems like ages ago now and although we met up shortly afterwards to talk over their early plans for their Civil Partnership so much was yet to be decided. Last week I finally got a chance to catch up with them properly again. After knocking on every cake and coffee shop we passed and realising they were all closed we just dived into the pub to talk about their plans.

I can’t tell you anything about their Civil Partnership yet. But come September I will blog at least once about their day. I know already that it’s going to be one of the highlights of this season. I wish I could tell you more but I just can’t. Zip. Nada. Not a word.

Brighton is an amazing city at any time of year. We strolled through the lanes and through the Pavilion Gardens on our way to the pier passing late afternoon sun soakers drinking in a few last rays of golden sunshine, throwing a frisbee around and generally looking like they were having a pretty cool time.

Here’s a few photographs we made that night…..
