Evening all, tonight we get to finally share some of our favourite frames from Danielle & James’s wedding at Lympne Castle back in the springtime of last year. Maybe it was because it happened at the end of a very long and grotty winter of lockdowns, maybe because it had been delayed a while, or maybe it happened this way simply because these two families unapologetically wear their hearts on their sleeve.
The results are some of our favourite ever photos. Sure, Lympne Castle is a beautiful Kent wedding venue, that’s obvious. The styling was awesome, James’ suit was a banger, and Danielle’s dress cut to perfection. But all of that is just set decoration when you have the amount of emotion on a show that this day had.
From the morning preparations, with friends tearfully squeezing hands, through to the ceremony (side ramble: we were asked to stand at the back by the Vicar and I was mighty cheesed off and then the universe ended up rewarding us by putting us in the perfect position to see James overwhelmed and teary-eyed as Danielle came down the aisle. It’s not where we would usually position ourselves but on this occasion, it made for a better photo. End ramble) and then dancing on the lawn at sunset (please can this carry on into 2022 please?).
Emotion beats everything else. Us Brits can be a little uptight sometimes, all that stiff upper lip, etc. It’s best to leave that at home on a wedding day and just throw it all out there. Tears of joy, tight hugs, and beaming smiles, that’s what we want and what makes for the best wedding days.
Here’s a wander through Danielle & James’s day, enjoy it…
