The Asylum Wedding Photographer | Chantelle & Dan
Right it’s time to get blogging again!! It’s been a bonkers busy summer as always and there’s only so many hours in the week and it always seems to be that brining new content and Recent Work to this Blog seems to get elbowed out in favour of something else. But…today is the day and I’m making a solid pinky promise to blog again before the week is out too!
First up is a venue that’s been on my Must Shoot list since I started. I’ve come close a couple of times before and for one reason or another it’s not happened. As it turns out, it was worth waiting for. Chantelle & Dan are two of the loveliest people in the world, a boy and a girl, a canadian and an Aussie, here in London, surrounded by their friends from all of the world, that’s a pretty special match up in my eyes.
It’s almost a cliche to say it now but Weddings at The Asylum have some spectacular light for the ceremony. Within those crumbling walls and amongst the flaking paintwork and chipped stained glass there is character that just blows the roof off. We were here for just a couple of short hours for the ceremony and some drinks after before moving back to another wonderful little gem, The Lordship pub.
I could play around and make portraits for hours in this place, the ceremony seemed to be over in the blink of an eye but everything about this couple and this venue combined to surpass my wildest expectations.
Here’s a big handful of favourites from a brilliant day with these two and their families. Lastly, ff you’re looking for a photographer for your wedding at The Asylum then please do get in touch, I’d go back in a heartbeat!
