– Amy-Jo & Andy
What a day yesterday was. I’m pretty sure that in the run up to Amy-Jo and Andy’s wedding at Trevenna lots of people said “why are you getting married on a Tuesday?!”. Well those people obviously didn’t know that this particular Tuesday was going to be jaw dropping and that the evening light would be about the best that the country has seen all summer. I have a feeling Amy-Jo & Andy just knew. This was my first time as a Trevenna Wedding Photographer and I can’t wait to go back already. It’s a beautiful barn nestled in the middle of Bodmin Moor with views straight out to the horizon every which way you turn and utterly incredible.
Amy-Jo and Andy were the perfect couple to photograph, sure they looked great but above all they completely trusted Hannah and I just to move amongst their guests, having fun, chatting to people and quietly photographing them being themselves without interrupting the flow of the day. They were even cool when we suggested hopping in the car and leaving the wedding for thirty minutes to head up onto the moor and to make some portraits as the sun sank down.
What shoud’ve been thirty minutes turned into forty five as they fell about laughing every time I raised the camera and it made it even more fantastic. These two are so ridiculously in love it’s a pleasure to be in their company and when you’re stood on the top of Bodmin Moor in light as good as that, you have to pinch yourself that this is actually your job. With a little help from the eccentric Iron Boot Scrapers band the evening went off with a bang and when we were climbing into the car last night we could still hear the brass band stomping and guests cheering as we pulled away.
I’m not going to say much more and these are just the previews of what was a truly beautiful day but I hope they give you an idea of just how gorgeous it all was. To Amy-Jo and Andy, thank you guys, we couldn’t have asked for more!
