We’re rapidly approaching the half way point of this 2017 season and well into the thick of the summer now. I wanted to write a short post today really to kill two birds with one stone. 1) to show off a tiny little bit and bring together some of my favourites of the year without having to wait until Dec/Jan time when I traditionally put together my Best Of post. 2) I wanted to highlight why Hannah and I love to share next day previews with our Brides & Grooms after a wedding.
I’ve been incredibly fortunate this year as a Kent Wedding Photographer to be working in some of the very best wedding venues in Kent and work alongside some phenomenal local suppliers that we recommend wherever we can. We’ve visited hidden gems of venues that we’ve never shot at before such as the Falconhurst Estate and Frasers as well as returning to places that we always love going to such as The Bell In Ticehurst. We’ve seen Katherine at Florist In The Forest work her floral magic several times and seen Nicci & Sophie at Home Gurr’own produce some of the most mouth watering wedding food on earth. It’s safe to say we’re having a fun year. Best of all, we’ve shot some lovely lovely people and seen them celebrating alongside their loved ones and it never gets less exciting for us.
After every wedding we do our best to deliver some next day Previews. In this crazy digital world where everyone has a camera on their iPhone and combined most wedding guests probably take more photos than we do during the course of a wedding day we feel really passionate that it’s great to see something a little more polished, edited well and as perfect as we can make it. I know that so many times the first photos a bride gets to see is a blurry, flashed in the face photo from one of their best friends where they’re in the middle of the dance floor and looking far from immaculate! It’s something we absolutely love when we get an email to say that our couple are sat in the airport lounge waiting to go on honeymoon and looking through their previews and its bringing it all back to them.
Normally, we deliver 5-10 photos and a mixture of emotional moments that really stood out to us alongside some gorgeous portraits. Just enough to keep you satisfied for a few weeks until the full collection is ready, and enough to give you a little sense of happy anticipation to see the rest!
The rest of this year has so much in store for us and we couldn’t be more excited to keep shooting and creating more photographs like these. For now, here’s 25 frames from our season so far…

Amazing photos Michael, we LOVE our previews! :-D
Next day previews ftw! Nothing quite like it to build the excitement, not only with the couple but guests too! Great set though- looking forward to the end of year post already :p
