I’m Michael and I’m a Kent Wedding Photographer covering Kent (obviously!), Sussex, London and anywhere and everywhere that your wedding wants to take me, Britain & beyond. When I say Britain & beyond I really do mean it so please just ask, I love to travel and have been fortunate enough to recently photograph Destination weddings in Italy as well as a number of Asian weddings also.

As a Kent wedding photographer I am incredibly privileged to be a part of the best day of someone’s life over and over again at weddings far and wide. I genuinely can’t think of any other job like it in the world. If any of the rest of this page ticks your boxes then just get in touch, lets go for some coffee and lets go make it happen.
Michael Jackson – Kent Wedding Photographer
So a little About Me… First and most importantly I love my wife Hannah, she’s ridiculously awesome. We were married in May 2010 at Nettlestead Place and the Hotel Du Vin in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, it’s still makes me grin from ear to ear and is my favourite wedding ever.
I have a special place in my heart for Sunday afternoons, Frasier box sets, Reece’s Cups, tatty old blankets and mugs of tea.
It’s arguable that I’m a little too fond of my cats, Stan and Claude. Stan took a bullet once, he’s particularly cool.
My Dad made me my first camera out of wood when I was three years old, I carried it everywhere.
I dream of photographing a wedding in Yosemite National Park and the Natural History Museum in London.
It broke my heart to sell my favourite Bruce Springsteen and Otis Redding records to buy my camera but it was still totally worth it a million times over.
I specialise in Documentary photography and Creative Portraiture, but that sounds a bit arty to me so I prefer to put it like this:
For me the best things in life are stories, and that’s what documentary photography is all about. I love seeing a story played out in photographs, the nerves, the smiles, the anticipation, the rip roaring, side splitting, snorting uncontrollable laughter, the tenderness, the love and all of the little bits and fleeting smirks and giggles that happen spontaneously throughout your day.
For me that also means taking some time to yourselves throughout the day away from the whirlwind happening all around you and spending a little time alone with one another where I like to create a series of gorgeous portraits of you together that will last for years to come.
So, how about you? How do you feel about your big day? You want to show the world how in love you are? How amazingly awesome your friends and family are? Well lets just go and do it then…..
