Destination Wedding Photographer

When you are asked to photograph someones wedding every single time I feel a swelling in my chest and a certain pride and happiness that’s tricky to explain.

When someone says something like ‘Hey, why don’t you come and photograph our wedding abroad, we’re getting married at…..” you kind of do a little hop, skip and jump then pause. Shake hands, smile and say “certainly, that’d be wonderful” Before carrying on with the hop, skipping and jumping all the way home.

This year it was Italy’s turn and it looks like next years might be as well. This has been my favourite as a destination wedding photographer to date, on the warm shores of Lake Garda with an incredibly funny and beautiful couple who were married on top of Malcesine Castle.

Where would I like to go next? Well that’s up to you. I love Italy so more of Lake Garda or Lake Como would be amazing. A wedding in Santorini maybe? Ibiza even? Or if I’m really dreaming then New York or  California, a wedding in Yosemite National Park or a beach wedding in Carmel??  A man can dream!
